Ancient Words

For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and yet loses his own soul? Or what can one give in exchange for his soul?... Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. Therefore, keep in mind how far you have fallen. Repent and perform the deeds you did at first. But if you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place... But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does... (James 1:22-25)

Good and upright is the LORD; therefore He instructs sinners in the way. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way. All the LORD’s ways are loving and faithful to those who keep His covenant and His testimonies... (Psalm 25:8-10)

 

Do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow has its own worries. Sufficient for the day is enough trouble... But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.. (Matthew 6:34; Matthew 6:33)
