Great Is Thy Faithfulness

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him.” (Lamentations 3:22-24)

The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth... Who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death— yes even death on a cross... (John 1:14; Philippians 2:6-8)

 

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory... (1 Timothy 3:16)

 

For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect... See, I have told you in advance... You will know them by their fruit... (Matthew 24:24-25; Matthew 7:16)

For each man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself shall prove each man’s work of what sort it is... (1 Corinthians 3:13)

What is more, I consider everything a loss for the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have endured the loss of all things and consider them as nothing but garbage, that I may gain Christ... (Philippians 3:8)

Faithful are the wounds of a friend but the kisses of an enemy shall be multiplied... Even my own familiar friend, whom I trusted and who ate of my bread, has lifted up his heel against Me... They have divide My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots... (Proverbs 27:6; Psalm 41:9; Psalm 22:18)

If you see The one I love, tell Him that my soul is lovesick... (Song of Solomon 5:8)

 

For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world and yet loses his soul? Or what can one give in exchange for his soul? (Mark 8:36-37)

 

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it... (Matthew 16:25)

 

A man who commits adultery lacks understanding. He who does so destroys his own soul. Wounds and dishonour he will get and his shame will not be wiped away... (Proverbs 6:32-33)

 

"Learn to be silent so that God can speak on your behalf..."

 

I am The way, The truth and The life. No one comes to the Father except through Me... (John 14:6)

 

Enter through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. But the gate is small and the path is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it... (Matthew 7:13-14)

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongdoings. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away... ( 1 Corinthians 13:4-8)

 

Whom have I in heaven but You, and earth has nothing I desire besides You... (Psalm 73:25)

To Him who alone does great wonders, His love endures forever. Who by His understanding made the heavens, His love endures forever. He spread out the earth upon the waters, His love endures forever. He made the great lights— His love endures forever. The sun to govern the day, His love endures forever. The moon and stars to govern the night; His love endures forever... (Psalm 136: 1-9)

A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you... Only with your eyes you shall see the reward of the wicked... (Psalm 91:7-8)

 

As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, God... My soul thirsts for Him, the living God; When shall I come and appear before Him? (Psalm 42:1-2)

 

Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded... (James 4:8)

 

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away... (1 Corinthians 13:8)

 

“You know neither Me nor My Father. If you knew Me, you would know My Father also...” (John 8:19)

 

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths... ( Proverbs 3:5-6)
