Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air: They do not sow or reap or gather into barns—and yet your Heavenly Father still feeds them. Are you of not much more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add a single cubit to his stature? And why do you worry about clothing? Consider carefully how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor nor do they spin. Yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear? For the Gentiles strive after all these things, and your Heavenly Father already knows you need them. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.. (Matthew 6:25-33)

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power and from as such turn away.. There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it, and built a tower. Then he rented it out to some tenants and went away on a journey. But the tenants seized his servants. They beat one, killed another, and stoned a third. Again the owner sent other servants, more than the first and they did the same to them. Finally, he sent his son, thinking, ‘Surely they will respect my son!’ But when the tenants saw the son, they said to eachother, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and take his inheritance!’ So indeed they seized him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him...

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.. (Luke 12:33-34)
Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but my ears You have opened. Burnt offerings and sin offerings You did not require. Then I said, “Here I am, I have come—it is written about me in the scroll: I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your law is within my heart." I proclaim righteousness in the great assembly; behold, I do not seal my lips, as You, O LORD, do know. I have not covered up Your righteousness in my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and salvation; I have not concealed Your loving devotion and faithfulness from the great assembly. O LORD, do not withhold Your mercy from me; Your loving devotion and truth will always guard me. (Psalm 40:6-11)
