From the rising of the sun to its setting, let the name of the LORD be praised.. The LORD is high above all the nations, and His glory is above the heavens... Who is like the LORD our God, who is seated on high? He humbles Himself to behold the heavens and the earth... He raises the needy from the dust and he lifts them up from the ash heap... (Psalm 113:3-7)

Then they said to Him, "Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside wishing to speak to You. But He said to them, "Who is My mother and who are My brothers?" Pointing to His disciples He said, "Here are My mother and brothers. For everyone who does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother, sister and mother..." (Matthew 12:47–50)

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside the still waters, He restores my soul. He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever... (Psalm 23)

Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal man, in whom there is no salvation. When his spirit departs, he returns to the ground and on that very same day his plans come to nothing. But blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God, the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. For He remains faithful forever... (Psalm 146:3-6)

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, His love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods, His love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love endures forever. To Him who alone does great wonders, His love endures forever. Who by His understanding made the heavens, His love endures forever. Who spread out the earth upon the waters, His love endures forever. Who made the great lights— His love endures forever. The sun to govern the day, His love endures forever. The moon and stars to govern the night; His love endures forever. To Him who struck down the firstborn of Egypt. His love endures forever. And brought Israel out from among them. His love endures forever. With a mighty hand and outstretched arm; His love endures forever. To Him who divided the Red Sea asunder, His love endures forever. And brought Israel through the midst of it, His love endures forever, but swept Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea, His love endures forever. To Him who led His people through the wilderness. His love endures forever. To Him who struck down great kings, His love endures forever and destoyed mighty kings— His love endures forever. Sihon king of the Amorites. His love endures forever and Og king of Bashan— His love endures forever. He gave their land as an inheritance, His love endures forever. An inheritance to His servant Israel, His love endures forever. He remembered us in our low estate, His love endures forever and freed us from the evil ones, His love endures forever. He gives food to every creature, His love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of heaven, His love endures forever.... (Psalm 136)
"O Lord and Master of my life, grant me not a spirit of idleness, of faint-heartedness, of lust for power and of vain speaking. But grant me your servant a spirit of sober-mindedness, humility, patience, and love. Yes O Lord and King, grant me to see my own faults and judge not my brother. For blessed art thou from ages to ages.. Amen" (St. Ephrem The Syrian)

I know your works, your labour, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are wicked. You have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, but found them to be liars. Without growing weary, you have persevered and endured many things for the sake of My name. Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love... (Revelation 2:2-4)

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership can righteousness have with wickedness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and the evil one? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? (2 Corinthians 6:14-16)

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path... For His commandment is a lamp, His teaching is a light, and the reproofs of discipline are the way to life... The precepts of the LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart; the commandments of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes... The words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace, like gold purified sevenfold... For the word of the LORD is upright, and all His work is trustworthy... For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light... Your word is very pure; therefore Your servant loves it... (Psalm 119:105; Proverbs 6:23; Psalm 19:8; Psalm 12:6; Psalm 33:4; Psalm 36:9; Psalm 119:140)
