For we walk by faith not by sight... Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see... Faith without works is dead... (2 Corinthians 5:7; Hebrews 11:1; James 2:26)

Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not just seven times, but seventy-seven times! (Matthew 18:21-22)

For those who are in Christ Jesus have learned to crucify the flesh with all its desires... (Galatians 5:24)

Rather, let me die to the opinions and judgments of others that I may be saved and raised to new life in your image and likeness; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen."

The old man said to him, ‘You know how you insulted them and they did not reply, and how you praised them and they did not speak; so you too if you wish to be saved must do the same and become a dead man. Like the dead, take no account of either the scorn of men or their praises, and you can be saved.’” (St. Macarius of Egypt)
