"There was a man who had two sons. The younger son said to him, 'Father, give me my part of the inheritance.’ So he divided his wealth between the two sons. Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and went to a distant country, and there he spent his wealth in wild living. After he had squandered all he had, a severe famine swept throughout that country, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed pigs. And he longed to fill his belly with the pods the pigs were eating, but no one would give him anything. But when he came back to his senses he said, ’How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare and here I am starving to death. I will get up and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven, and against you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son but make me like one of your hired servants... (Luke 15:11-19)
