It is He who changes times and seasons; He deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and mysterious things and knows what lies hidden in darkness, though He is surrounded by light... Nothing in all creation is hidden from Him; everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account... And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness... Those who live in darkness do not come to the light lest their deeds be exposed...
