All the ways of a man are right in his own eyes; but it is the LORD who weighs the motives... (Proverbs 21:2)

 

The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him... (Psalm 18:30)

 

The LORD is righteous in all His ways and faithful in all His works... (Psalm 145:17)

 

 

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord imputes no sin... (Romans 4:8)

 

.. and if any of you seems wise in this world, pretend that you are mad so that you might become wise... For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God... For it is written, “He catches the wise in his own craftiness and sweeps away the plans of the cunning..." (1 Corinthians 3:18-19; Job 5:13)

 

For what profit is it to man if he gained the whole world and yet lost his own soul? Or what can one give in exchange for his soul ? ... For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also... (Mark 8:36-37; Matthew 6:21)

 

No one can serve two masters. For either he will hate the one and love the other; or he be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon... (Matthew 6:24)

 

It is He who changes times and seasons; He deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and mysterious things and knows what lies hidden in darkness, though He is surrounded by light... Nothing in all creation is hidden from Him; everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account... And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness... Those who live in darkness do not come to the light lest their deeds be exposed... (Daniel 2:21-22; Hebrews 4:13; 1 John 1:5; John 3:20)

 

A prophet is not without honour except in his own country, in his own household and among his own relatives... (Mark 6:4)

 

A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you... (Psalm 91:7)

 

Many are the afflictions of the righteous man, but from them all the LORD delivers him... (Psalm 34:19)
